: Janyne FletcheR

Janyne Fletcher Grand Master – Photographer

Ticket includes entry to Dunedin Art Show Show Days

Friday 20th November 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm

Jayne Fletcher PhotographerJanyne Fletcher’s long connection with traditional photography inspired her to branch out into creative fine art and landscape photography.

She sells her work from her workshop/gallery on the main street of Ranfurly, Central Otago.

Janyne’s contemporary photography has been awarded a number of nationally and internationally recognised distinctions. She is a Grand Master of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers (NZIPP), which is the Institute’s highest distinction. In 2019 she was named NZIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year, and the AIPP Overseas Photographer of the Year (Australia).

The term “professional photographer” implies not only a high level of creativity and technical skill, but also an ability to run a commercial operation. During her talk at the Dunedin Art show, Janyne will share details about:

  • Her journey from Wellington office dweller to Central Otago landscape and fine art photographer.

  • Balancing the quest to find her creative voice vs feeding a household of hungry teenagers and being on a business footing while preserving her creative identity
  • Having courage with creative and business choices.
  • Taking control and preserving creative independence
  • The nuts and bolts of running a gallery and selling art
  • Using awards to drive technical and creative excellence
  • Q&A
